How to upload your files
We accept files for your magazine in the way that’s easiest for you. Submit single pages or spreads, individual files for each page, or a single file for the whole thing – your choice.
The maximum file upload is 2GB. Please contact our team if your file size is larger and we’ll help you get your file into the workflow.
The cover
Remember that your magazine cover contains four pages: a front cover, an inside front cover, a back cover, and an inside back cover. Be sure to design these pages accordingly.
The bleed
We require a 3mm bleed for all magazine printing. Ensure you haven’t included any important content in this space.
The binding
You have three binding options for magazines: saddle stitched or stapled, perfect bound, or wiro bound. Keep in mind that our magazine binding options depend on the number of pages in your magazine. You may have too many pages for staple binding to support, or too few pages for perfect binding to work. Our ordering system will let you know which option is best when you enter your page count.
The spine for perfect bound
With perfect bound magazines, you can print additional content on the spine. We ask you to upload the spine content as a separate file; you can see the dimensions of your magazine’s spine in your shopping cart. You’ll also need a 3mm bleed on the top and bottom of the spine. If you don’t send us a print file for the spine, we have to leave it blank.
Completing your order
You can add pages to your magazine in multiples of 4, and you must ensure each placeholder box has been filled. For example, if you order 32 pages, you should fill all 32 boxes. If you don’t have enough content to fill all the pages in your magazine, you must add blank pages.
